Why Kourtney Kardashian Is 'Happy' To Be Filming Less Of 'KUWTK'

We already know that Kourtney Kardashian has had it with how intrusive it can be to film Keeping Up With the Kardashians and the star's reason for taking a step back from shooting has been revealed.

As per PEOPLE, Kardashian, 40, has no regrets about taking a back seat from the long-running E! reality show. "She is happy to be filming less for both herself and the kids," a source explained to the outlet. "As Kourtney and Scott's [Disick] kids get older, especially Kourtney feels that public exposure is not really beneficial for the kids. There are already trolls that post nasty comments about the kids." In case you forgot, Kardashian and her former flame, Disick, share three children, Mason, 10, Penelope, 7 and Reign, 5.

While Kardashian reportedly feels the children are "too young to read about" the hateful internet gossip, she "would hate for them to read it as they get older." "She feels more and more protective of the kids," the insider added.

Word of the star's pushback frm the show was teased at the end of Season 17 last year when Kardashian argued that her boundaries had been crossed when it comes to shooting. "I have three kids that are my priority more than the show," she told sister, Kim, during a scene. "Why do I have to say it 25 times? I’m not going to change my mind. What I'm saying is I’m getting to the point where I’m not happy. Everyone has their breaking point. Life is short. It’s not all about filming this show."
