Letchworth State Park in upstate New York is not far from my college alma mater, SUNY Geneseo. A few days ago, I got an alumni magazine that mentioned how they’ll take new students there for rafting and camping and such to foster inclusiveness and build rapport. What a waste of nature. My buddy, Doug and I used to go there to become one with wilderness in an enhanced way. You know, the kind that makes it seem like a great idea to lay on the ground and pretend to be dead to see if you could get a soaring turkey vulture to land. What the hell are they teaching kids today?
